When I first meet with Cedric and Leonie I just new I was going to have fun shooting their wedding. We talked of dinosaurs invading photos and a serious addiction to Pinterest on my behalf. Never the less the wedding day came and after a few days of foggy, misty moody Auckland weather the sun finally turned up just in time for their very special day.
Cedric & Leonie tied the knot at Star of The Sea in Howick, where Leonie once attended school. The service was held in the Chapel and many family and friends gathered for the joyful occasion. I was lucky enough to arrive just in time to see Leonie getting her makeup done and my goodness she looked stunning. Excited to see her groom and fashionably late of course we arrived at the church, just in time for the ring bearer to be dropped off and sneak in.
The love this couple shares is truly special and this was evident in their vows and the way they looked at each other during the ceremony and of course Cedric's reassuring hand squeezing. The rest of the day went swimmingly! We headed down to Cockle Bay and had many laughs with champagne and beers in hand and not to mention the array of nibbles thoughtfully brought by Jessica and her husband.
Then off to the reception at The Secret Thai Garden; it really was a secret very well hidden but once inside all of the guest were saying how they felt as if they were in Thailand on holiday. If thats not a compliment I don't know what is! Speeches given by the bridesmaids and best men and a novel by the brides father started their reception off with a bang and a bundle of laughs.
I am so honured to present to you Cedric and Leonie's wedding day. Don't scroll through to fast. Take your time, see the story and soak up some of this joy.
